I am Waleed Khamies , an applied scientist, and ML grad. I am passionate about learning semantic representations from multimodal data. Also, I am interested in mapping these inferred meanings to autonomous actionable insights.
Previously, I worked as research engineer intern at Mila under the supervision of Liam Paull, where my research focusing on developing deep learning models that suitable to robotics applications in noisy scenarios.
I received my master at AMMI in Mathematical sciences/Machine learning, where I worked in interpretability of reinforcement learning under the supervision of George konidaris, previously I received my bachelor degree at UofK in Electrical and electronics engineering, where I worked under the supervision of Benjamin Rosman.
Solid experience with various generative models (Diffusion, GAN, VAE, Transformers, ..etc) for different types of data (text/image/video).
Solid experience with various machine learning and deep learning algorithms for different tasks.
Good experience with tensorflow extended (TFX) ecosystem for ML pipeline deployment.
Good experience with Google Cloud Platform.
